College of Computer Information and Engineering, founded in 1999, is one of the key colleges and departments of our college. At present, it has 4 undergraduate majors and 4 junior college (three-year program) majors, and 4,886 students. The College offers high quality and professional teachers and advanced teaching equipment, which has a strong teaching and research strength.
At present,there are more than 140 full-time and part-time teachers in our college, including 11 professors , 3 associate professors and 2 provincial renowned young teachers. More than 100 of them have obtained doctor's and master's degrees.So far, It has established a national vocational education training base funded by the Central Finance, experimental teaching demonstration Center of Jiangxi Provincial Colleges and Universities, 16 general Laboratories,more than 36 multimedia classrooms. The college has laboratories with a total area of 3,200 square meters, and teaching instruments are more than 2000 sets totaling 15,000,000 yuan. The college provides a fertile professional learning and practice environment for students.
The college attaches great importance to discipline construction and has become one of the key disciplines of the University. Computer Science and Technology is the brand specialty among the undergraduate majors and the key discipline in Jiangxi Province, which was also selected into Jiangxi Outstanding Engineer Training Program and Professional Comprehensive Reform Project. The software engineering major was approved as the provincial comprehensive reform pilot major, the "Computer Network Major Teaching Comprehensive Reform" project was awarded the provincial talent training model innovation experimental zone, and the "Network Construction and Maintenance" and "Database Principles" were rated as provincial-level excellent courses. "High-level language programming course" won the provincial network video open class. In recent years, our teachers have published more than 200 papers, compiled more than 20 teaching materials, and completed 22 provincial-level projects. Our teaching ability and level have been steadily improved.
