On November 13, 2022, the 47th International College Programming Contest (ICPC), hosted by Northwestern Polytechnical University, was successfully held in Xi'an, Asia. It attracted 249 universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Zhejiang University, with a total of 520 teams participating. Nanchang Institute of Technology was invited to participate, and the team members actively prepared for the contest. The Nanchang Institute of Technology team composed of three students Liu Qian, Mo Haodong and Li Jing from the School of Computer Information Engineering won a bronze medal. The awards rank the third of the universities in Jiangxi Province, the first of the private universities in Jiangxi Province and the 118th of the domestic universities. This is also a breakthrough for private universities in Jiangxi Province in this event.
ICPC's Top Ten Rankings
The contest was very intense with the top ten teams from Peking University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University, Tianjin University, and Fuzhou University winning the competition. It is understood that more than 80% of the top 120 universities participating in this contest are "Double Top" universities or "Double Top" discipline construction universities.
Previously, Nanchang Institute of Technology won a bronze medal in the 2021 China University Student Programming Competition (CCPC) Harbin Branch, and is the only private university in Jiangxi Province that has won the CCPC Branch and ICPC regional competition awards.
