The College of Aeronautics and Astronautics was founded in 2004, with a current enrollment of 1，500 students. At present, the college offers four undergraduate majors and two junior colleges (three-year program) majors. The college has a strong teaching force in all specialties, and a teaching research team with rich teaching experience and reasonable title structure. There are 26 full-time teachers in the institution:10 double-position teachers，among them, 5 Researcher level senior engineers and 5 senior engineers. 10 lecturers with master degree and 1 engineer; 5 part-time teachers (2 with Professional Titles and 3 lecturers). Our school has invited Professor SHI Ping, academician of The Chinese Academy of Engineering; LIU Qinggui, Chief engineer and Deputy commander of Jiu Quan Satellite Launch Center of China; and Professor LI Renda, head coach of China Aviation Model Team, as honorary professors. The college has laboratories for experiment and training of the major "flight crew", such as "airplane simulation cabin, dance room, piano room, multimedia classroom, dressing room", etc., and laboratories such as "Plate riveting laboratory, wind tunnel laboratory, hydraulic pressure laboratory, aircraft maintenance laboratory, nondestructive testing laboratory, flight simulation laboratory for the major “aircraft”, those laboratories provide excellent places for students to experiment and train, and enhance students' professional knowledge and practical ability. Insist on the implementation of "humanized" management, so that students can get comprehensive development in "moral, intellectual, physical, beauty, labor" and other aspects.
In line with the teaching tenet of "Serving aviation, serving the army and serving the society”, the institution is employment-oriented, focusing on gathering excellent teachers to organize professional training, building strong quality inside, a standard image outside, increasing the core competitiveness of students in employment. The female military band, etiquette team, model team, model airplane team, aerospace fans Association and other student associations have become the most beautiful and attractive campus characteristic teams in our school. Presently, most of the students are employed by domestic and international airlines, airports, UAV companies and military units and their military supply units.
