The College of Medicine (also named The college of Advanced Nursing) in Nanchang Institute of Technology was established in 2008, which was approved to enroll students in 2012 for the first time as one of the characteristic faculty in our school. The school has invited ZHANG Jinyuan, the first international Nandingle Medal winner in Jiangxi province, as the honorary dean, and Professor Yan Cui, the standing director of Jiangxi Nursing Association as the dean. The School of Advanced Nursing takes "Striving for human health" as its guiding ideology, which featured by nursing teaching in the state of aerospace and aviation movement, like in flight, sea and land. The faculty has 56 full-time(part-time) teachers, among whom 36 persons have the professional title of deputy senior or above. In order to strengthen academic exchanges, the school often invites domestic and international nursing experts to give lectures.
The college sets up three majors that is nursing regularly-enrolled bachelor-degree program, nursing regularly-enrolled diploma program, and midwifery regularly-enrolled diploma program. They are ZHANG Jinyuan Nursing Class, Aerospace and Aviation Nursing Class, Japanese Nursing Class, etc. In order to promote international exchanges, the school has cooperated with many universities and hospitals in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries to broaden the channels for students to go abroad for further study and employment.
The college has built a modern experimental training center of more than 4,000 square meters, which is equipped with basic nursing laboratory, health assessment laboratory, surgery simulation room, ICU simulation room, rehabilitation nursing laboratory, physical health care training center, human anatomy and physiology laboratory, obstetrics and gynecology simulation laboratory, pediatric simulation laboratory, pregnant women school and so on.
The college attaches great importance to practice and employment of our students, now it has established long-term relations with more than 30 "AAA" hospitals like Aviation General Hospital, Shanghai Hospital of Civil Aviation, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, Jiangxi Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, Jingdezhen No.1 People Hospital, Yingtan People Hospital and some powerful public secondary-level general hospitals.
At present, in the face of historic opportunities for the development of health medical enterprise, the college is committed to building an international nursing school with distinct features, prominent advantages and social recognition. To fulfill this goal, it deepens the reform of teaching and adheres to enhance the teaching quality as the core of development as well as strengthen the foundation and pursuit for excellence.
