Ⅰ. Training Objectives
This specialty aims to cultivate high quality talents with good ideological quality, who can consciously abide by professional ethics and laws and regulations, master the basic economic theory, be familiar with the World Trade Organization and related economic and trade regulations and business processes, correctly understand and grasp the operation mechanism and development law of contemporary international economy and trade, be proficient in English, have good communication and coordination skills, and be able to engage in management and economic and trade business positions in foreign trade, finance and other industries.
Ⅱ. Cultivation Specifications
This includes the specific requirements that students should meet in terms of knowledge, ability, and quality.
1. Knowledge Requirements
The students cultivated by this major should have a complete knowledge structure, including basic knowledge, professional knowledge, instrumental knowledge and general knowledge.
(1) Fundamental knowledge. The students will receive systematic training in economic theory and research methods, and should solidly master the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills of management, economics and international economy and trade.
(2) Professional knowledge. Students should be familiar with the laws, regulations and practices of domestic and foreign economic and trade activities, WTO rules, trade policies, policies and regulations of China and major trading countries. They should also master the basic principles of domestic and foreign economic and trade activities, business contents, business processes and the norms of writing Chinese and foreign documents.
(3) Instrumental knowledge. Students should gain basic theories of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, such as applied manuscripts, mathematics, foreign languages, computers, Internet, etc., which are necessary for academic research and practical operation of the major.
(4) General knowledge.Students should possess certain basic knowledge in literature, history, philosophy, management, law and sports. Understand the development of human civilization and the world's excellent thinking and culture, and master the general knowledge of science and the development trend of modern science and technology.
2、Aptitude Requirements
The students cultivated in this major should have a more systematic ability structure, including the ability to acquire knowledge, the ability to apply knowledge, the ability to think creatively and the ability to communicate across cultures.
(1) The ability of acquiring knowledge. Develop good habits of self-study, learn to use modern technology and information technology to acquire new knowledge, and have the ability of self-learning, digestion and self-renewal of knowledge. Master the basic methods of literature search and data inquiry, and understand the theoretical frontier and development of the discipline.
(2) The ability to apply knowledge. Gain the ability to make good use of statistics, econometrics and other analytical methods to analyze and study the practical problems of international trade; the ability to apply computer and information technology skillfully.
(3) The ability to think creatively. Develop the habit of independent thinking and innovative thinking, with enterprising consciousness and spirit of exploration, with good innovative ability, entrepreneurial ability and scientific research ability.
(4) Cross-cultural communication ability. Be proficient in English and have the ability to listen, speak, read, write and translate as required for practical work.
(5) Ability to operate in practice. Maintain the ability of practical operation, such as customs clearance, documentation, etc. in international economy and trade.
3、Quality Requirements
The students cultivated by this major should have a more comprehensive quality structure, including ideological and moral quality, scientific and cultural quality, professional quality and physical and mental quality.
(1) Ideological and moral quality. Firm and correct political direction, establish the correct worldview, outlook on life, values, obey the law, integrity, enterprising, team spirit.
(2) Scientific and cultural qualities. Have good humanistic and artistic cultivation, aesthetic taste and written language expression ability, strong learning ability, communication ability, language expression ability, coordination ability.
(3) Professional quality. Acquire a solid foundation of economic theory and professional knowledge, gain preliminary scientific research and strong practical working ability, maintain the ability to integrate knowledge of different disciplines to solve practical problems, the ability to think independently, and posses international economic and trade specializing in customs clearance, documentation and other practical operational skills.
(4) Physical and mental quality. Have good habits of life, develop good physical exercise and hygiene habits, meet the state standards for qualified physical exercise for college students, and have a sound mind, a healthy body and good psychological quality.

IV. Main Practical Teaching Sessions

VI. Graduation Criteria
1、Meet the requirements of knowledge, ability and quality required by the profession.
2、Complete all the teaching links stipulated in the training program, and the total credits are not less than 172.
