Architecture and Engineering College was founded in 2006. In 2007, approved to establish civil engineering undergraduate major by Jiangxi Province Department of Education，it began to recruit students in 2008.In 2012,it passed the undergraduate qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education and was granted the right to confer bachelor's degree of engineering in civil engineering which was approved as a provincial comprehensive reform pilot major in 2014.In 2017,our college was ranked l1th in the comprehensive evaluation of civil engineering undergraduate major in Jiangxi Province.
In September 2020, the institute decided to merge the former Architectural Engineering College and Engineering Management College to form a new college of Architectural Engineering.
At present, Architecture and Engineering College has set up 3 undergraduate majors: civil engineering, engineering cost and water conservancy and hydropower, and 3 specialized majors: architectural engineering technology，engineering cost and architectural decoration engineering technology.There are more than 2600 students in the college.
The faculty of Architecture and Engineering College has been constantly strengthened and improved. There are more than 92 full-time and part-time teachers and 20 full-time teachers with the titles of middle and associate senior high or above,including 5 professors and 8 double-qualified senior engineers. Among the faculty members,there are 3 doctors and 90% teachers with master degree or above.In recent years，our teachers have published 175 papers in various academic journals and magazines，and completed 3 provincial projects.
The college has seven professional laboratories，including mechanics laboratory，building materials laboratory，structural mechanics laboratory and BIM laboratory，which basically meet the experimental and training requirements of basic and professional courses. The college is closely linked with construction industry enterprises,and has established 36 off campus professional training bases, which provides a reliable guarantee for the college to carry out professional training and professional practice, and provides a stable platform for students to improve practical working ability.It is one of the important foundations for Architecture and Engineering College to cultivate applied professional and technical talents to meet the social needs.
The college adheres to the educational ideology and policy of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and pays attention to the cultivation of students' professional and comprehensive qualities. More than 150 students in our college have won various national and provincial awards in participating in National College Students’ Mathematical Contest in Modeling,National College Students’ Structural Design Competition, National Pei-yuan Chou Competition in Mechanics，Jiangxi Science and Technology Innovation and Vocational Skills Competition, and College Students’ Vocational Skills Competitions. Each year，6% of the undergraduate students are admitted to graduate college, 10% of the junior college(3-year program) students are admitted to the college entrance examination, and many graduates enter the public Service Staff work.The employment rate of college graduates has remained above 92% in recent three years.
