The Introduction to Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated Systems

I. Training Objectives

 This major aims to cultivate high quality applied talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, sports and aesthetics, who adapt to the needs of socialist modernization construction and information field development, master broad humanistic knowledge, solid natural science knowledge and solid professional knowledge, have engineering practice ability and innovative spirit, master the basic theory and technology in the field of integrated circuit and integrated system, and are able to engage in design, implementation, application and management in the field of integrated circuit and integrated system.

 

II. Training Specifications and Requirements

  Graduates of this major should possess the following knowledge, ability and quality through systematic study and engineering training:

  (1) Knowledge Structure Requirements

  1.To have solid theoretical knowledge of natural science, professional knowledge of circuits and systems, necessary knowledge of humanities and social sciences, and good foundation of foreign language;

  2. To have basic knowledge of communication system, computer system structure, signal processing and other fields;

  3. To master the basic knowledge and engineering theory in the field of integrated circuits and integrated systems;

  4.To master the electronic design automation technology of integrated circuits and integrated systems.

  (2) Capability Structure Requirements

  1. To have the ability to use electronic design automation tools to design integrated circuits and integrated systems;

  2. To have strong ability to solve practical problems by comprehensively applying the knowledge learned and engineering practice strength;

  3. To have the ability to understand the theoretical frontiers, development trends and independently acquire knowledge in the professional field;

  4. To have the ability of independent learning, collaborative innovation, organization management and strategic decision-making.

  (3) Quality Structure Requirements

  1. To have good ideological and moral cultivation, professional accomplishment, and physical and mental quality;

  2. To have the spirit of dedication, interpersonal communication awareness and the spirit of unity and cooperation;

  3. To have certain literary and artistic accomplishment, scientific engineering practice method;

  4. To have a certain international vision, realistic and innovative spirit and entrepreneurial consciousness.

III. Main Subjects and Core Courses

  Main subjects: electronic science and technology, computer science and technology.

  Core courses: digital system composition and design, digital integrated circuit design, analog integrated circuit design.

  Main courses: fundamentals of circuit analysis, fundamentals of analog electronic technology, fundamentals of digital circuit and system design, electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves, signals and systems, principles of communication, digital signal processing, semiconductor devices, high-level language programming, digital system design, etc.

IV. Main Practical Teaching Items

  Practical teaching items: professional practice, practical training, social investigation, military training, professional intensive training links, graduation thesis (design), etc. Practical teaching items are calculated by the teaching weeks and are not included in the total class hours.

V. Length of Schooling and Degree

  Length of Schooling: 4 years

  Degree: Bachelor of Engineering

VI. Graduation Standards

  1. To meet the professional requirements of knowledge, ability and quality.

  2. To complete all the teaching items specified in the training program, with the total credits not less than 170.

  3. To obtain no less than 6 credits of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
