On the afternoon of 18 October 2022, at the invitation of our university, Professor Yao Yaping, former member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, visited our university and gave a lecture on the topic of "How do we now understand the August 1 Nanchang Uprising and the great spirit of building the army" in the Hangtian lecture hall of the new teaching building of the university. The lecture was attended by Fang Zhenggen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Qiu Shangren, member of the Party Committee and Vice President, all staff of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, all teachers of Marxism  School , propagandists from various departments and representatives of teachers and students. Before the lecture started, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Supervisor Xu Keinan, the Principal Fan Yanbin and other leaders of the university had a talk with Professor Yao Yaping, former member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, and reported to him the development and achievements of the university in recent years.

In the lecture, Professor Yao Yaping focused on "Nanchang Uprising is a major historical choice of the party; Nanchang Uprising is a leadership act of the party; Nanchang Uprising is a heroic feat of saving the revolution and creating history; Nanchang Uprising is a struggle lasting ten months; Nanchang Uprising is a pioneering innovation of our party combinations”. The lecture started with a detailed introduction to the background, details, characters and the development process of the Nanchang Uprising.

    The lecture won applause from teachers and students, who said that they had benefited a lot from the lecture and gained a lot of historical knowledge and patriotic stories, further stimulating their patriotic enthusiasm, strengthening their patriotic beliefs and enhancing their national pride.
